Obituaries Virginia G. Jepsen EMERSON, Neb. Vir- ginia G. Jepsen, 85, of em- erson passed away thurs- a Fe 21, 2013, at Heritage of Care Center. i i 10:30 a.m.

Wednesday at st. Lutheran Church in emer- son, with the rev. Gretchen ritola officiating. inter- ment will be in rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the church.

arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-smith Funeral Home in Pender, Neb. Virginia was born on May 10, 1927, in Wakefield, the daughter of ben- jamin and Viney (strivens) bokemper. she attended a country school through the eighth grade near emerson. she married albert Jep- sen on May 7, 1942. she had worked for for 35 years.

Virginia was a mem- ber of st. Lutheran Church. Virginia is survived by a daughter, Peggy Chapman and her husband tom of emerson; a daughter-in- law, trudy Jepsen of Hub- bard, sisters, Maxine Peters of emerson, Doloris McGuire of Pender, shir- ley Carder of emerson, Joann Flammang and her husband ed of bronson, iowa, bonnie steecker and her husband bill of emer- son, and Diane Lorensen and her husband Larry of Newcastle, brothers, Myron bokem- per and his wife sandra of sioux City, and anton (tony) bokemper of emer- son; a sister-in-law, Doro- thy Linafelter of Oakland, nine grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, albert; a son, Jimmy; an infant grand- daughter, stacey Jepsen; brothers, Carl, and bill; a sister, Lois black; and an infant sister, Linda bokem- per. Arlene McNamara SIOUX CITY Lois McNamara, 87, of sioux City passed away Friday, Feb.

22, 2013, at Holy spirit retirement Home. i i be 10 a.m. Wednesday at st. Michael Catholic Church. burial will be in Memorial Park Cem- etery.

arlene was born on May 11, 1925, to ray bertrand and effie Pearl (spence) Denlinger, in Washta, iowa. she graduated from Grand Meadow High school. she received her business de- gree from the National business institute. she was married to ray- mond William McNamara on Feb. 5, 1934, in Kings- ley, iowa.

He preceded her in death in september 1990 in sioux City. arlene was self-employed doing house cleaning and painting. she was a parts manager for 15 years with iseman Mobile Homes and managed Little King restaurant for several years. arlene enjoyed going to the senior Center and at- tending their dances and being with family. she was a huge supporter of briar Cliff basketball.

she went to all of their home and away games until her health declined. she then had to turn to the radio to be apart of their game. she was a member of st. Mi- chael Catholic Church and was very dedicated to help- ing out at the annual Lenten fish fry for more than 17 years. she also was a volun- teer for the Naia National basketball tour- nament for several years.

she is survived by her two sons, Joseph (Vicki) McNa- mara, and edwin (Louann) McNamara; five daughters, sharon Levenhagen, rae Marie Pendergast, Mary Russell H. Williams SIOUX CITY rus- sell H. russell was born on Feb. 18, 1952, in sioux City, the son of Donald and Mari- lyn (Clark) Williams. He received his education at Central High school. he had been a lifelong sioux City resident. He drove truck for many years.

He enjoyed working on and painting cars, fish- ing, and putting together model semis. He liked hav- ing coffee with his bud- dies everyday at Horizon restaurant. He was a busy person who always had to be on the go. rusty is survived by five sons, russell Williams Jr. of Le Mars, iowa, randy Williams, ricky Williams, Clayton Lillie and Michael Williams, all of sioux City; three daughters, tracey Williams, shanna Nygaard and amanda Williams, all of sioux City; a brother, Donald Williams of arling- ton, texas; three sisters, Victoria Hoffer of sioux City, Marsha Nelson of spencer, iowa, and rhon- da German of Watertown, s.D.; and 15 grandchildren.

He grew up in the Fonda area and graduated from Fonda High school in 1948. Jerry then attended Nbt (Na- tional business training) in sioux City. Jerry married Delores D. snow on May 6, 1950 in sioux City. they raised eight daughters in sioux City.

He sold insurance for Joe Morton insurance and then operated his own painting business for many years. Jerry founded the south Dakota trappers associa- tion. He enjoyed hunting, trapping and fishing. He had written many mini editorials to the sioux City Journal and enjoyed writing poetry. survivors include his wife, Delores Jacobson of sioux City; eight daugh- ters, Judy schwinck and her husband, Ken of Federal Way, Marian John- son and her husband, alvin of stratford, iowa, Vickie Jacobson and her signifi- cant other, Kip Hellman of tenino, Vivian Currie and her husband, Kevin of seattle, Jerri McKeown and her husband, Mark of Graham, Jackie Matthey and her husband, Mike of ser- geant bluff, Lisa beauchene and her husband, Matt of round rock, texas, and Lori McLeod and her husband, Dave of span- away, 18 grandchil- dren; and 10 great-grand- children.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; a sis- ter, roleen; and his dog, skippy. (Mike) Nearman, MaDonna (rusty) Giffrow, and alicia (Dave) Johnson; 24 grand- children; and 31 great- grandchildren. she was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and three chil- dren, Merlin McNama- ra, theresa McNamara Grosenheider and robert McNamara. Pallbearers will be rob borcherts, Lisa elsten, Krista Johnson, Mike Pen- dergast, Jaden McNamara, Maranda McNamara, Mel- anie McNamara and Misty McNamara.
