Mr. Griggs served as principal of the same school for four years but this year he has hren studying at the University of 'hicago. where he will obtain his master's degree. The wedding will be summer event. A number of prenuptlal affairs have been given in honor- of Miss Ryan, among them having been an evening party given by Mrs.

R. M. Barrett, a sister of the bride, on -Wednesday. The guests included the principal and teachers of Smith school, classmates of -Miss Ryan's normal class and a few other close friends. A.

A flag tournament and a driving contest will comprise the program for women golfers of the Country club, when they wil hod their weekly meeting at the club on Tuesday. In the former event, each player will plant her flag where the ball lies after the last stroke has been played.

The first teams will play19 holes and the other, groups will play nine holes on the upper course. Luncheon will be served at noon and the ensuing hours will be devoted to tridge. A meeting of the Lad es Athleti- as-' soclation of Shore Acre club will be held at the clubhouse on Wednesday. beginning at 1:30 in the morning. when bowline will form the amuse ment.

Luncheon will be served at 12:30 and bridge will occupy yie aftet noon hours. In the evening there will be a mixed bridge tournament. Wednesday Athlettic club members will be guests of Mrs. P. Newton, Mrs.

W. H. Sammons and Miss Helen Ereun at the Sioux City Boat club on Wednesday. Mrs. Paul Caldwell will be in charge of the golf event.

The next meeting of the Ladles Ath letic association of Riverside Eoat club will be held Wednesday. There will be bowling beginning i 10:30 and concluding at 12:30. when lunch will be served. I During the- afternoon bridge will be the principal diversion. Mrs.
