Third was found dead Tuesday evening at his residence. He was born April 30, 1902 in Sioux City and attended Sioux City public schools. 1 He was employed by the city of Sioux City in the waterworks department for many years, retiring in 1967. Survivors include two brothers. Vern R.

Johnson of Sioux City and Clifford S. Johnson of Dallas, nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Nelson-Berger Northside Funeral Home. The Rev.

Donald J. Pearson of the First Covenant Church will officiate. Burial will be in Floyd Cemetery. a former Sioux City resident, will be Friday at the Hilgren-Feld Funeral Home in Anaheim. Calif.

Burial will be in California. Mrs. Kilburg died Saturday at Las Vegas. after a short illness. The former Letha Watts, she was born July 18, 1917, in Alcester.

S.D.. and came to Sioux City at the age of 2. She was graduated from Central High School in 1935, and was. married July 26; 1941. They lived in Sioux City until moving to California in 1955.

Survivors include the widower: a son. Patrick; one grandchild: a brother, Marion Watts of Atlanta, two sisters. Mrs. Douglas (Inez) Dalthorp of Yakima, and Mrs. Durwood (Viva) Hansen of Sioux City.

Werder was born March 16. 1889. in Iowa County and spent his early years in southeast Iowa before marrying Belle Marie Kephart July 5. 1917. at Williamsburg, Iowa.

He managed grain elevators at Bondurant and Kingsley, Iowa. before coming to Sioux City in 1940 to work as an engineer for Curtis Sash and Door Co. After retiring from that firm. he operted Harry's Radio and TV Shop here for a time and worked for six years as an engineer at the Holiday Inn. Mrs.

Werder died here in 1958. Mr. Werder was a member of the Engineers Club, the Eagles Lodge and the 39 Club. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Lucille) Franklin of Sioux City: the son, Richard of Williamsport, seven grandchildren, and two greatgrandchildren.

The body will be brought to the Larkin Morningside Funeral Home. Lewis A. Harris Lewis A. Harris, 64, Tucson, a former Sioux City Journal printer, died Tuesday of leukemia at Tucson. Mr.

Harris was born Feb. 27, 1910. in Iowa, He lived in Sioux City most of his life until 10 years ago when he moved to Tucson. A retired printer, he had been a typesetter for The Journal for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II.

and in Sioux City belonged to the Elks Club. His wife, the former Amelia Catania. died Dec. 5, 1968, in Tucson. Survivors are a brother, Charles.

and a sister, Mrs. Daisy Petersen, both of Green Valley. Ariz. The body was sent Wednesday to the Larkin Northside Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m.

Friday in the Larkin Northside Funeral Home by Lodge 122, Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery, .77 Clarence Evans A former Sioux Cityan, Clarence Evans, 62, of Salem. died July 10 in Spearfish, S.D.. while on a vacation trip. Services will be at 11:30 a.m.

today at Hillside Church in Rose Hill Cemetery in Whittier, Calif. Mr. Evans was born on Aug. 6. 1911 in Waukon, Iowa, and came to Sioux City with his family in 1912.

He lived here until moving to Glenwood, in 1940. He moved to Salem a year ago. He was married to Audrey Parker in 1934 at Smithland. Survivors include the widow; a son. Ronnie of Glenwood, and two brothers, Harold of Sioux City and Ralph of Dallas.

Ore. Chester Michael Services for Chester Michael, 79, 2206 Villa will be at 1 p.m. today at the NelsonBerger Northside Funeral Home. The Rev. H.

H. Schauland of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Frank Sweem, LeRoy Gray, Gregory Michael, William I.

McLarty and William J. McLarty, and Jack Cushman. Mr. Michael died Tuesday at a Sioux City hospital. Don Ringling brother and two sisters.

Services for Don Ringling, 26, Platte. S.D.. formerly of Sioux City. will be at 2 p.m. Friday the Christian Reformed Church at Platte.

Burial will be under direction of the Cool Funeral Home. Mr. Ringling was killed early Tuesday morning in a one-car accident near Avon, S.D. He was born July 15, 1958, in Platte. He was employed in Sioux City by Sioux City Motor Express until he went into the trucking business for himselt at Platte.

Mr. Ringling married Velta Steeg DeHahn. Survivors include the widow; a son. Scott: and two daughters, Kim and Amy, all at home: his parents. Mr.

Len Davis, 81, 4036 Adams died Wednesday evening at a Sioux City nursing home after a long illness. Mrs. Davis, the former Alma M. Kuckku, was born June 23, 1893. at Wisner, Neb.

She was reared in the Wisner area and moved to Wakefield, in 1911. She came to Sioux City a year ago. Mrs. Davis was married Aug. 2.

1911. at Dakota City, Neb. Mr. Davis died in 1946 at Wakefield. Mrs.

Davis was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Wakefield. She was a Gold Star member and served as past president of the AntonBoekemper Post, American Legion Auxiliary, in Wakefield. Survivors include two daughters. Mrs. Lee (Imogene) Kuhns of Sioux City and Mrs.

Ellis (Frances) Peterson of Martinez. five grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. The body was taken to the Nelson- Berger Northside Funeral Home and will be taken today to the Bressler Funeral Home at Wakefield. Robert James Gessell Services for Robert James Gessell, 58, 401 W. Kings Highway, prominent Sioux City Realtor and civic leader who died Wednesday afternoon at his residence, will be at 10:30 a.m.

Friday at the HeatonWestcott Funeral Home. (See story on Page 1). The Rev. John P. Hantla of Goodwill Industries will officiate, assisted by the Rev.

Robert D. Butler of the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Logan Park Cemetery. Mr. Gessell was born Jan.

30, 1916, at Des Moines. He married Jayne Woolworth Jan. 25, 1937. Mr. Gessell served in the Air Force in World War II.

He was employed by several Sioux City real estate agencies before establishing his own firm here in 1953. Mr. Gessell was the only realtor in Sioux City to belong to the National Society of Industrial Realtors. He was a director of the Security National Bank and a member of the bank's executive committee. He was a member and past director of the Sioux City Chamber of Commerce and the Sioux City Country Club.

Mr. Gessell was a longtime member and past president of Goodwill Industries, one of his favorite charitable organizations. He also was a member of the Sioux City Board of Realtors; the First United Methodist Church; Landmark Lodge 103, Sioux City Consistory; Abu Bekr Shrine Temple, and the Sioux City Rotary Club. Survivors include the widow; a son, Robert Charles of Sioux City; a daughter, Miss Polly Jane Gessell of Dallas, and his stepmother, Mrs. Veva Gessell of Des Moines.

A memorial in the name of Mr. Gessell has been established for Goodwill Industries. District Court Cases Municipal Building Two Liquor.
