Larson was born on Sept. 15, 1899, at Peoria, 111. He married Sophia A. Sanders on Sept. 29, 1920, at Ayrshire.

He farmed In the Ayrshire area until 1947, and moved to Sioux City in 1948 where he worked for Armour until it closed. He worked part-time for the Toy National Bank until retiring in 1965. He was a member of the Cathedral of the Epiphany Church, Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus in Ayrshire. Survivors include the widow; four sons, Vern of Sioux City, Kenneth of Mammoth Spring, Cecil of Eugene, and Ralph of Omaha, four daughters, Mrs. Irene Flynn of Sioux City, Mrs.

Catherine Johnson of Spencer, Iowa, Mrs. Mary Burgss of Omaha and Mrs. Ruth Behrends of Humboldt, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Violet Kaufman of Swea City, Iowa; 15 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A prayer service for Darrel L.

Shaver, 51, 2815 W. Sixth St. will be at 8 p.m. today at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. Funeral services for Mr.

Wednesday at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cherokee with the Rev. Henry Weimer and the Rev. A.P. McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Cemetery, Larrabee.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee. Mr. Fessler was born on May 5, 1897, at Cherokee. He was an Army veteran of World War I.

On April 15, 1936, he married Katherine Weimer at Cherokee. He was a resident of Cherokee County his entire life. He farmed and was in the feed grinding business for many years. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Harold of Gardnerville, and Carl of Calumet; two daughters, Mrs. Gary (Ruby) Hoekstra of Sheldon, and Mrs.

Donald (Mary Saturday at a Rock Rapids hospital following a long illness. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Jongewaard Stapp Funeral Chapel in Rock Rapids with the Rev. David Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the Hope Cemetery at Hull.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 28, 1891, in Webb. He married Sadie Merrill In August of 1916 at Sheldon. They farmed in Clay and O'Brien Counties and later In Nobles County, until moving to Brewster, in 1974.

They came to Rock Rapids In 1978 and he had resided at the Lyon Manor Care Certer since. He is surwied by the widow; three sons, Merrill Davis of Sherman Oaks, Gordon Marvin of Jordon, and Wayne Davis of Santa Rosa, one daughter, Mrs. Francis (Ruth) Kohrt of Rock Rapids; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Edwards, 28, died Sunday at his home in rural Aurelia of a recurring heart illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Mount Olive Baptist Church at rural Aurelia with the Rev. Rex Whitman officiating. Burial will be in the Quimby Cemetery.

The Boothby Funeral Home of Cherokee is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Edwards was born on Jan. 11, 1952, at Cherokee. He married Judy Anderson on June 2, 1972, at rural Aurelia.

He was a resident of Cherokee County all of his life. He farmed in Silver Township. He was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church. Survivors Include the widow; one son, Benjamin Thomas, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs.

Ivan Edwards of Quimby; three brothers, Ivan of Gaza, Patrick of Washta and Darrell of Quimby; and six sisters, Mrs. Deloris Myers of Denison, Mrs. Donna Johnson of Kingsley, Mrs. Sally Joines of Cherokee, Lorna Bennett of Paullina, Mrs. Carol Peterson of Quimby and Mrs.

Debra Stevens of Cherokee. James Hayen, 54, Parkston, S.D-, died Saturday, services 2 p.m. Tuesday, Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church at Dimock, burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery at Parkston, Hasson Funeral Home, Parkston. A team of students from St. Luke's Medical Center In Sioux City won the regional medical technology bowl competition in Minneapolis, Saturday.

There were teams from five other states also in competition. The St. Luke's team, which won the Iowa Society of Medical Technology competition in April, will go to the national competition in St. Louisr June 26. Members of the team are Diane Hurley, captain, Cheryl Zwart, Kathy Youngers, Jan Schulte and Mary Beth Pudwill, alternate.

Peck, 85, of rural Cherokee, died Saturday at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital after a five-month illness. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Visitation Church at Maryhill, with the Rev. Gene Sitzmann officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

The rosary will be said at 8 p.m. today at the Greenwood Funeral Home. Mr. Peck was born on June 1, 1894, in Cherokee County. He married Mary Ann Zimmer on March 7, 1916, at Maryhill.

She died in 1964. He lived in the Storm Lake area from 1932 until 1952. He then returned to the Maryhill community where he farmed. Survivors include five sons, Raymond Frank Lloyd and Robert all of Storm Lake, and Leonard A. of Portage, four daughters, Mrs.

Joseph (Bernice) Henke of Cherokee, Mrs. Bob (Grace) Coombs of Aurelia, Mrs. James (Kathleen) Letts of Cherokee, and Mrs. Edward (Rozella) Charbonneau of Sioux City; one brother, Chester Peck of Cleghorn; 40 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren. Donna VanBeek INWOOD; Iowa Donna Mae VanBeek, 21, of Inwood died Saturday as a result of injuries she received in an auto accident at Sioux Falls, S.D., Friday night.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Netherlands Reformed Church at Rock Valley with the Rev. Joel Beeke officiating. Burial will be in the Valley View Cemetery at Rock Valley under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley. Miss VanBeek was born March 27, 1959, at Sioux Center.

-She was a graduate of Rock Valley High School and attended nurses training in Sioux Falls. She was employed as a nurse at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls at the time of her death. She is survived by her parents, Mr and Mrs. Jacob Van Beek of rural Inwood; two brothers, Jimmy and Harlen, both at home; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard D.
