Bornholtz, 95, of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Westwood Care Center. Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at a Sioux City hospital from congestive heart failure. Services Services will be 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with LW. a sister, Mary Ferrari of Dakota Dunes; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a sister, Jan Lyle. We are very grateful that Hospice of Siouxland was so caring and helpful throughout this difficult time. We also appreciate the wisdom and kindness of Dr.

Thomas Schryver. Memorials may be given to the family for the purchase of a headstone. Ruth LaFleur-Lowrey SIOUX CITY Ruth LaFleur-Lowrey, 87, of Le Mars, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at the Good Samaritan Nursing She is survived by her four children, a daughter, DeLores (Jack) Blades of Cherokee, Iowa; a son, Carmen (Janice) Bornholtz of Sioux City; a daughter, Marlene (Curt) Vanderloo of Merrill, Iowa, and a son, Von (Vickie) Bornholtz of Sioux City; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three grandchildren, Lonnie Bornholtz, Scott Blades and Starla Cason; a brother, Harold Brouwer; and four sisters, Hermina Horton, Gladys Sieh, Christina Taute and Helen McNaughton.

Loraine B.Reifenrath SOUTH SIOUX CITY -Loraine B. Reifenrath, 86, of South Sioux City died Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, at Regency Square Care Center after a brief illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St.

Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Laurel City Cemetery, Laurel, Neb. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., and a vigil service at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, 6200 Morningside Ave. Home in Le Mars.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Church of the Nativity in Sioux City, the Rev. Lau- rice Streyffeler officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m.

Monday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., an Order of Eastern Star service at 7 p.m. with a prayer service to follow, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to www.meyerbroschapels.com. Viola was born on Dec. 10, 1913, in Sioux City, to Herman and Mary Brouwer.

Viola attended Central High School. She was married to Harold Bornholtz on Nov. 17, 1930, in Denison, Iowa. He preceded her in death in January of 1984. Viola worked as a waitress serving at Martin's Tea Room, Younkers Red Rooster and the Milwaukee Weiner Shop.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star Azure Chapter 540. Viola's first love was working and being with people. She enjoyed fishing with her husband, flowers, loving her family, baking cookies, walking and being active in the Eastern Star. sent online to www.meyer-broschapels.com. Mathew was born May 15, 1928, in Menominee, the son of Mathew H.

and Susan (Brandt) Kleinschmidt Sr. He served with the U.S. Army National Guard in Yankton, S.D. On Nov. 21, 1948, he married DeLoris M.

Jensen in Yankton, S.D. The couple made their home in Yankton until 1956, when Matt was transferred to Sioux City with SMB Stage Lines. He later worked for Johnson Biscuit Co. and Sioux City Brickyard. For many years, he was a self-employed carpenter.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, rummage sales and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, DeLoris; four children and their spouses, Mathew J. and Connie Kleinschmidt, Kathy and Larry Lafferty, all of Sioux City, Vicky and Jerry Behrens of Merrill, Iowa, and Jeremy and Dawn Kleinschmidt of South Sioux City; 10 grandchildren, Michelle Stanfield and her husband James, Christopher Kleinschmidt and his wife Missie, Heather, Jason and Kevin Lafferty, Nick Behrens, Amber Le and her husband Vu, Isaiah Nelson, Jessica and Brenden Kleinschmidt; two great-grandchildren, Karissa Stanfield and Remington Kleinschmidt and another one on the way, Oliver Le; and three sisters, Donna Fox and her husband Bob, Margaret Foote and Lavaun Schneiders and her husband Paul, all of Sioux City. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Kleinschmidt. Pallbearers will be Chris Kleinschmidt, James Stanfield, Ryan Lais, David Jensen, Rodger Broveak and Nick Behrens.

Honorary pallbearer will be Isaiah Nel -son. Memorials may be directed to the family. Shirley LKistner SIOUX CITY Shirley E. Kistner, 83, of Sioux City passed away Friday, Aug. 7, 2009, at the Embassy Rehab and Care Center in Sergeant In lieu of flowers, the family will be directing all memorials to Hospice of Siouxland.

William 'Bill' Atwood SIOUX CITY William "Bill" Atwood, 87, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2009, at a local care facility. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Waterbury Funeral Service. Bill was born on May 9, 1922, in Sioux City, the son of Charles and Esther (Ayers) Atwood.

He graduated in 1941 from Central High School. Shortly afterward graduation, he joined the U.S. Army and during World War II he served with the Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater. After returning to Sioux City, on Nov. 22, 1946, he was united in marriage to Margaret Beman.

Bill had worked at Cudahy 's Packing before enlisting, and upon his return, he worked there until it closed in 1955. Bill then worked for IPS (later known as Mid-American Energy) for 28 years, until his retirement in 1984. Bill enjoyed fishing and watching westerns, but at age 50, he started playing golf, and over the years, managed to make nine "holes in one." Survivors include his wife, Margaret; his daughter, Judy and her husband, David Twining of Blue Grass, Iowa; his brother, Delmar Atwood of Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Dorothy Edwards of Sioux City, and Ruth and her husband Walt Grossenbacher of Lake Wales, his sister-in-law, Catherine Atwood of Sioux City; his extended family, Sherry and her husband Marlin Bender of Dakota Dunes, the grandchildren, Kate and her husband Mike Troevell of Sioux City; and two great-grandson, Gabe and Merick Troevell. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Dennis, in 1947; his brothers, Jack and Robert; and his sister, Helen Lias. The family wishes to thank those of the Sunlight at Sunrise Retirement Community and Hospice of Siouxland for their care and acts of kindness.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Dolly was born on Dec. 8, 1915, in Sioux City, the daughter of Herman and Josephine (Wauhob) Den Hartog. She attended Sioux City schools and graduated from East High School in 1934.

She worked in the packing-house industry for Cudahy Packing Company prior to her marriage. She married Charles Wilson on Oct. 4, 1941, in Dakota City. When her children were in school, Dolly worked at Bellas Hess Store in the men's clothing department. After her children were grown, she worked in the school lunch program at East Middle School for several years.

She was currently residing at Countryside Nursing Home. Dolly enjoyed traveling with her husband. She also enjoyed her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Holidays were memorable at their home and full of laughter. She is survived by her sister, Gertrude Paul; four sons and their wives, Ronald and Sarah Barnes of Hacienda Heights, John and Caryl Wilton of Omaha, Philip and Sue Wilton of Bixby, and Paul and Janine Wilton of Sioux City; sisters-in-law, Mabel Den Hartog of Helen Cory of Sioux City, Ruth and Ar-mand Menard of Sioux City, Sally Wilton of and Jessie Bell of 17 grandchildren; 26 greatgrandchildren; and special friends, Don and Marlene Zacek of Sioux City.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles, on May 4, 1989; her son, Charles on June 20, 1961; her grandson, Jonathan, on April 3, 2005; brothers, Herman and the Rev. Dr. George and his wife, Clara Ann Den Hartog; sisters, Mildred Bochart and her husband, the Rev. Dr. Harold Bochart and Marie Kruse; and brothers-in-law, Arthur Paul, Bernie Cory, Dick Bell, Albert Wilton and Raymond Wilton.

MathewR. KleinschmidtJr. SIOUX CITY Mathew R. "Matt" Kleinschmidt 81, of Sioux City passed away Complete Funeral with the Rev. Gerald Feierfeil officiating.

Ruth was born on June 15, 1922, in Sioux City, to Marion and Mary (Welch) McK-inney. She was married to Herbert LaFleur on Feb. 19, 1941, in Jefferson, S.D. He preceded her in death in 1984 at Sioux City. Ruth was a devoted housewife and mother.

She was a past member of Immaculate Conception and Church of the Nativity Catholic churches. She is survived by her four daughters, Bonnie LaFleur of Hillard, Ohio, Kathy (Lloyd) Braband of Le Mars, Sandy (E.B.) Baker of Sergeant Bluff, and Eva (Jim) Treinen of Sioux Falls, S.D.; two sons, Jim LaFleur of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Gary (Carol) LaFleur of St. Augustine, 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Russ (Lois) LaFleur of Jefferson, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert; a grandson, Jonathan Wilton; two sisters; and a brother. 3,795 You pick the casket, we supply the vault and services.

Shirley was born March 8, 1926, in Kingsley, Iowa, to Harry and Mildred (Sherwood) Lyle. She graduated from Morningside College in 1947 with a teaching degree. She worked as a math teacher for years and later taught fourth and fifth graders. Shirley married Howard D. Kistner in May of 1955 in Reno, Nev.

Howard passed away on Sept. 23, 1985, in Sioux City. Shirley enjoyed playing cards at the Senior Center and doing crossword puzzles. Survivors include a son, Scott Kistner of Sioux City; two brothers, Bill Lyle and his wife Muriel of Sioux City, and Max Lyle and his wife Sharon of Tucson, 13 at a local hospital.
